Ukraine has approved a gas transit facilities law on August 14, 2014

The parliament of Ukraine has approved a law on August 14, 2014. According to it allows gas transporting facilities. It is to be leased on a joint (programme) venture basis with participation from the European Union or United States firms.

In this participation partners of foreign will be offered 49% in the venture and Ukraine will hold 51 percent in the venture. This venture would be managed by both underground gas storage and transit pipelines facilities.
