Chacha Nehru Scholarship for Artistic and Innovative Excellence: The National Bal Bhawan has established a system to honor and encourage different age group students who are talented in various fields like Creative Performance, Creative Arts, Creative Scientific Innovations and Creative Writings through Bal Shree Programme ( Music, Dance, Visual Arts and Theatre). The National Bal Bhawan will honor these talented childred the scheme of Chacha Nehru Scholarships for Artistic and Innovative Excellence. NCERT-National Council of Educational Research and Training will provide these scholarships. The Chacha Nehru Scholarships for Artistic and Innovative Excellence are meant for the students who studying from 9th to 12th (secondary and senior secondary education in classes IX – XII).
Process of Selection under CHACHA NEHRU SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
The National Bal Bhawan selects the creative and talented students through the programmes conducted at three levels.
1. Local Level
2. Zonal Level
3. National Level
Local Level:
The National Bal Bhawan chooses the talented and creative students through the two day camps programmes performed at local level. In this programmes. The National Bal Bhawan will select two students in every field at local level.
Zonal Level:
And in Zonal level which is conducted through three days camps, specialists from local areas, experts from north east, central, west, south region I and II will engage for the selection of talented students.
National Level:
For the national level selection process will go 4 days camps from the country’s six zones. An expert’s panel, resource persons of 4 streams are recognized to select creative and talented students. In the National level camp about 150 Children will compete for the selections.
VALUE OF CHACHA NEHRU SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME and ELIGIBILITY
Through the scheme of Chacha Nehru Scholarships for Artistic & Innovative Excellence, the NCERT–National Council for Educational Research and Training will offer Rs 500 every month to above 14 years age students who were selected through the Balbhavans national camp’s Bal Shree Programme. Up to 4 years these students will offered the scholarships in the classes 9th to 12th.
For the talented students selected in national camps who are belongs to the age group of 9 to 14 years will get an incentive of Rs. 5000/-. The National Bal Bhawan will provide the money.
