The scholarship program of Indian gevernment’s  ministry of minority affairs –  minorityaffairs.gov.in. This scheme is awarding Pre Matric scholarships and Post-Matric Scholarship for Minority students in the country.

PM’s new 15 point scheme of Welfare of Minority was released a notification in 2006 June. Through the scheme of minority affairs the organization is awarding scholarships for meritorious candidates belong to minority groups.

Main Aim of Ministry of minorityaffairs scholarship:

The minority affairs Ministry scholarship is meant for the brilliant / meritorious students who are from financially weaker families of minority groups. The main target of this scholarship is to achieve the advancement in higher education and offer them good career opportunities in the field of education for their better development.

Scholarship – Scope:

Ministry of Minority Affairs 2016 Post-matric ScholarshipMinistry of Minority affairs scholarship scheme will be provided to student candidates who are pursuing their education in private or govt maintain institutions like schools, colleges or universities. This scholarship includes the govt residential institutions and selected private institutions and recognized in a transparent way by state govt or union territory administration related. The scheme also applicable for vocational or technical courses in industrial training centers or institutions affiliated with NCVT of class 9th to 12th level.

Scholarship or Minority affairs – Eligibility:

To avail this scholarship every candidate should possess 50% or above score or its equal grade in last year academic exam. Student’s family income must not above Rs. 200000/-.

Distribution of Ministry of Minority Affairs Scholarship:

According to the section 2 (c) of National Commission for Minorities Act, 1992, Buddhist, Muslim, Sikh, Jain, Christian and Zoroastrians (Parsis) are known as minority communities. Awarding minorities scholarship among the union territories or states will be distributed depending on the population of particular state or territory.

Selection Process of Minority affairs post matric scholarship:

Candidate with lowest income will be given first preference on selection process of Minorityaffairs ministry scholarship.

Applying Process of ministry of minority affairs 2016 scholarship:

For Fresh Candidates:

For the minority scholarship fresh registration students need to go to Student Login option first on National Scholarship Portal.
» Open the main page of National Scholarship Portal.
» Click on the New User Option
» Fill all the given fields in the form with reliable details
» After Verifying all the details once again hit on the submit button
» Now your permanent ID will be generated.
» Store that verification number for your later use.

Process to Renewal the Scholarship:

Renewal Students have to apply with their Permanent id which they got previous year (i.e. 2014-15). Students must enter their Permanent Id by clicking the option Student Login on the home page, and then have to click on ‘Login’ button to apply for renewal.

All the minority students can renewal their ministry of minority affairs scholarship by entering their ID which they have obtained when they are applied first in the previous year. Students can login with their ID and renewal their Scholarship status.
